Bob Melton spent 30 years building an electrical contracting business the hard way: one well-executed project at a time. He earned his Master Electrician credentials, took on increasingly complex commercial and industrial work, and developed the reputation for accountability that still anchors how we operate today.
Brandon Melton followed the same path — IEC apprenticeship, Master Electrician license, years in the field — and stepped into the CEO role to drive A Total Solution's next chapter as the company expanded beyond pure electrical work into multi-trade contracting: lighting modernization, energy savings programs, and now a full Construction division. Today we deliver federally compliant work for the VA, USACE, and the National Guard alongside commercial and institutional projects across the Mid-South — with the same in-house electrical and controls capability that started it all.
Bob Melton served in the Mississippi Air National Guard's 223rd Combat Engineering Unit, completing his service as an E4 Specialist. A service-related injury qualified A Total Solution as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) — a designation we treat as a responsibility, not a credential.
He's not the only veteran on our roster. Field leaders from the U.S. Marine Corps bring the same discipline, accountability, and mission-focus to every jobsite we run. The result is a team where saying you'll do something and actually doing it isn't a slogan — it's the baseline expectation.
